HOWDY FROM SEPTEMBER CHILD 🦊 ​

Hey, I’m Kate, founder of September Child, mum to Jude (now a wild toddler) and vintage junkie with no plans to quit.

 

This all started when I was pregnant, hunting down pieces that felt special, not throwaway. Now, I spend a slightly unhinged amount of time tracking down the best vintage and preloved kidswear so your little ones can rock the coolest looks from the past, while never losing their play.

 

Based in London, everything is handpicked, cleaned and shipped by me from my kitchen table. If I wouldn’t dress my own kid in it, it doesn’t make the cut, it’s as simple as that.

 

September Child just turned two. It feels like yesterday when I made my first sale. Since then, I’ve found an incredible crew of parents and vintage lovers who really get what this is about, finding pieces that last, stories worth sharing and style made for play.

 

My process kicks off with the saves on my phone, old family photo albums, 90s movies, underground creatives and references that keep me up at night. Then I go hunting, London flea markets, European finds, holiday digs, the world wide web and trusted overseas contacts I’ve built over the last two years.

 

The result? Small but mighty drops of the coolest kids’ vintage that feel fresh, unique and made to last.

 

I’ve seen it with my own eyes, Jude’s still rocking pieces decades old that I bought when he was born. This is what it’s all about, clothes built to keep up with the wildest little humans and stories worth passing down.
